Health Insurance Enrollment
Health Insurance Information & Enrollment Support
PCC does not offer student health insurance. The student health fee provides currently enrolled and attending students with first-aid and acute clinical care on campus. Students who are currently uninsured or underinsured are strongly encouraged to sign up for health insurance.
To assist you with signing up for coverage—including Covered California (California's healthcare exchange) and Medi-Cal (state-assisted healthcare)—we recommend connecting with our community partners through the following primary enrollment pathways:

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: Upcoming Changes to Medi-Cal Eligibility Requirements
Federal and state laws governing Medi-Cal have (2026) and continue to change (2027-2028). Additional requirements will go into effect in order to qualify for and maintain Medi-Cal coverage, including:
- Proof of work, job training, or half-time school enrollment (80 hours/month)
- Twice-yearly (6-month) eligibility checks and reporting updates
- Updated income verification and asset documentation rules

These changes are critical to take note of in order to qualify for and maintain your health insurance coverage.
