Pride Scholars
Pasadena City College Pride Scholars is a program that promotes scholarly pursuits with LGBTQIA2-S+ students of all academic disciplines.
PCC Pride Scholars is an educational and empowerment initiative that is equity-minded and social justice-oriented. The program envisions LGBTQIA2-S+ students achieving academic goals and objectives that will assist in exploring future career opportunities.
As a member of the Pride Scholars program, students will participate in creating an academic and collegial environment and hold a P.E.A.C.E. values system:
- Perseverance – Pride Scholars have the determination to keep going despite obstacles or setbacks.
- Excellence – Pride Scholars will seek to accomplish something noteworthy and admirable individually and collectively and perform at their best.
- Academic Integrity – Pride Scholars are honest, trustworthy, and consistent in their words and actions.
- Collaboration – Pride Scholars have the ability to work together with others towards a common goal.
- Equality – Pride Scholars recognize and value everyone's worth regardless of differences.

- Mentorship and Networking
- Tutoring
- Community Events and Workshops
- Scholarship Leads and Internship Opportunities
- Resume and Job Search Assistance with a Freeman Center Specialist
- Priority for a Pride Center College Campus Tour and connections to the Transfer
- Center Specialists
- Be a registered PCC Student
- Participate in every Pride Scholar meeting
- Do research on a topic that is intersectional with LGBTQ+ issues
- Participate and create a presentation for the Pride Scholars Symposium presentation
