The Puente Project (Spanish for “bridge”) is a nationally award-winning program that supports Latine/x and underrepresented students in reaching their academic, career, and personal goals. Established in 1991 at Pasadena City College, the Puente Program includes a learning community model where students learn in community and receive individualized counseling services. Puentistas are connected to men/femtors from PCC, Puente alumni, or the Pasadena community. This integrated approach empowers students to excel academically, achieve their degrees, and successfully transfer to a four-year college.

Program Eligibility
We have 30-35 spots available for the academic year. Spots are given based on the order in which you sign up.
Puente is open to PCC students who:
- plan to transfer to a 4-year university
- are able to commit to English and Counseling courses during the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters.

Visit the Puente/MOCAN Center
The Puente/MOCAN Center is a physical space for Puente Students to connect, build community, study, receive tutoring, and relax in-between classes. Puente students can also meet with their counselor or faculty in the Center.

Puente Club

Puente Club is available to all Phase 3 Puentistas as continuous engagement in the Puente Program. Students who are interested in Puente, but not eligible to participate in the Cohort are also welcome to join.
Puente Club meets on Thursdays from 12-1pm.
Club members who regularly attend meetings and are active members will be eligible to join on trips and events hosted by the Puente Project Cohort.
